L-Glutamine is a non-essential amino acid and is produced by the body itself. However, this is not always enough to keep glutamine levels at a necessary level.
Strenuous training, stress, operations, infections, and other special circumstances often consume more of this amino acid than can be replenished.
L-Glutamine, among other things, promotes the building of muscle proteins and at the same time prevents their breakdown, serves as an energy supplier for intestinal cells, protects the intestinal villi from harmful substances, and is important for the regeneration and new formation of the cells of the intestinal lining.
